In Sadie Laska's "Ditzy 1," rich and bright colors interact with abstract geometric forms and expressionistic gestures to create a deconstructed floral pattern. Using acrylic, oil, and spray paint on layers of canvas and linen, Laska combines materials and effects to draw attention to what is inside the artificial frame of the painting and what continuously pushes its way beyond its confines.
