The 3-Chained Heavy Duty Chain Knocker is an absolute beast when working with straight Hard Metal pipe lines without multiple bends. This is an excellent choice for professional plumber or CIPP expert when you have a line without any tight bends and just want to efficiently descale the line no questions asked. It does lack the extra flexibility needed in tight bends but replaces that flexibility with extra descaling efficiency and speed. Heavy Duty Chain Knockers are also packed with a great durability!
How does it perform compared to other chain knocker options?
In comparison this 3-Chained option offers more descaling surface and speed with the cost of flexibility than the 2-Chained option. When comparing to the circular chain knockers, it is still more flexible but offers slightly less descaling speed.
- For slightly more flexibility with a cost of descaling speed we recommend 2-Chained option.
- For maximum flexibility, with the cost of descaling surface we recommend considering Mini Chain or the 1-Chained option.
- If you mostly have straight line with barely any bends we highly recommend this 3-Chained option to speed things up. It is also good to think about Circular Chain Knockers in these situations but they do lack flexibility. It is recommended to have at least one flexible option with you than the 3-Chained or Circular. So maybe have one 3-Chained, One Circular and one 1-Chained Knocker to be prepared for most situations.
Excellent durability & great descaling power
Like all the other Heavy Duty Chain Knockers, this 3-Chained model is also equipped with robust Croco-shaped tips and are considered the most durable chain knockers available for hard metal pipe descaling while having slightly less descaling power than the Medium Duty Chains.
Overall Heavy Duty Chains are suitable for hard pipes like Cast Iron, Galvanized Steel Pipes, Orangeburg Pipes, Vitrified Clay Pipes (VCP), Terracotta/Clay Sewer Pipes and other hard material pipes. While we recommend this chain knocker for these kinds of hard metal pipes, please always check that the overall condition of the pipe to avoid using too aggressive chain to the task. If you are unsure that the pipe will withstand the descaling power, please choose more gentle option like Light Duty Chain Knocker, Circular Chain Knocker or Gentle Duty Brush.
We do not recommend Heavy Duty Chain Knockers for PVC or other soft material pipes due to its aggressive nature. Some experienced professionals may find it suitable for challenging tasks in PVC, but caution is advised to avoid potential damage. For PVC cleaning purposes we recommend considering Light Duty or Gentle Duty options.
