A 100% handmade leather journal cover.

Midori-style, Traveler's Notebook system. Full grain fibers run more vertically than other leathers, resulting in superior strength and may hold up to 100 years of use, if properly maintained.

We use leather from North American hides which have been professionally vegetable tanned right here in the US Tanneries. The tanning process includes a hot stuffing with waxes and oils, making it smooth, soft and beautiful.

This is durable leather will develop a rich patina which will better with age.

We hand cut our Grade #1 and #2 leather from large hides.
Each piece is unique with different markings. Though a near match, coloring may vary from hide to hide or from what is seen in our photographs.

Dimensions:

The Pocket is designed and strung to hold 4 inserts sized 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Field Notes, Moleskine pocket size).
Inserts are NOT included, but we offer a variety of Field Notes for sale at simpsonleather.com
